Embark on epic adventures Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6PM to 9PM! Create your own fantasy character, then guide that hero through quests for treasure, battles with deadly foes, daring rescues, courtly intrigue, and much more. Along the way -- and with the guidance of our experienced Dungeon Masters -- you and your fellow adventurers will create a story together!
Our D&D 5th Edition events are open to newcomers and veterans alike. They range from single-session quick adventures to multi-week seasonal campaigns, and comfortably accommodate up to 6 adventurers at a time. All you're required to bring are a pencil and $5 (and you'll even receive a coupon good for $5 off the purchase of any product in the store). Dice, books, miniatures, and everything else can loaned upon request, though after just a session or two you'll likely want your own!
PLEASE NOTE: Games fill quickly, and long campaigns do not often have mid-season openings. Our Games of Berkeley Role Players Guild Facebook page is regularly updated with event information, including how to sign up for casual drop-in games and seasonal campaigns. In the event that we're unable to accommodate your personal schedule, the East Bay Adventurer's League Facebook group is also a great resource for finding local gaming sessions.
Pathfinder is a tabletop role-playing game similar to D&D. Our events in this organized play program take place every Friday evening from 6PM to 9PM. Participants take part in a worldwide fantasy role-playing campaign where they take on the role of a member of the 'Pathfinder Society', a league of adventurers and explorers devoted to unearth the greatest mysteries and legends of the ancient, magical world of Golarion.
There is a $5 fee, and each participant receives a coupon good for $5 off the purchase of any product in the store. We recommend bringing your own dice and rulebook for the best possible experience, or you may purchase them here at Games of Berkeley. For additional information, contact the game master Phil at (510) 717-1750, or check out the publisher's Pathfinder Society page.
Call of Cthulhu is a horror role-playing game based on HP Lovecraft's fictional Cthulhu Mythos. Players take the roles of ordinary people drawn into the realm of the mysterious: detectives, criminals, scholars, artists, war veterans, etc., conscripted (willingly or not) as Investigators of the goings-on around them. These events take place on Monday evenings from 6PM to 9PM.
There is a $5 fee, and each participant receives a coupon good for $5 off the purchase of any product in the store. Games fill quickly, and consist of long campaigns that do not often have mid-season openings. Check with our Event Coordinator ahead of time to see if there are openings via [email protected].
Warhammer 40K is a miniature wargame set in the distant future, where a stagnant human civilization is beset by hostile aliens and malevolent supernatural creatures. The models in the game are a mixture of all of these, wielding futuristic weaponry and magical powers. Our regular 40K meetups take place from 12PM to 9PM on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th (when there is one) Saturday of each month.
Bring your own armies, but tables are provided, and a wide variety of combat terrain is available for use in game sessions. For casual play, participants pay $5 each (and receive a coupon good for $5 off the purchase of any product in the store), and may challenge each other to battles, paint their miniatures, and watch each others' grim, dark destruction. The occasional tournament or special event may cost extra.
Our 40K community coordinates and communicates via the WarGames of Berkeley facebook group, so check there for specific information regarding each event. And we also carry a wide range of miniatures, paints, and accessories if you wish to expand your collection!
Dust 1947 is a fast-paced, easy to learn (and teach) turn-based tactical miniatures game in a pulp scifi alternate history of World War II, with incredibly detailed models of weapons and heroes, vehicles and terrain. Our regular Dust 1947 meetups take place from 10AM to 6PM on the 4th Saturday of each month.
Bring your own armies/factions, but tables are provided, and a wide variety of combat terrain is available for use in game sessions. For casual play, participants pay $5 each (and receive a coupon good for $5 off the purchase of any product in the store), and may challenge each other to battles, paint their miniatures, and watch each others' weird, dieselpunk combat set 4 years after Hitler's death at the hands of his own forces. The occasional tournament or special event may cost extra.
Our Dust 1947 community coordinates and communicates via the WarGames of Berkeley facebook group, so check there for specific information regarding each event. And we also carry a wide range of miniatures, paints, and accessories if you wish to expand your collection!
