Game(s) of Thrones at the Freehouse - Event Recap June 15 2015

Is the Freehouse the perfect place for an evening of Game(s) of Thrones?

We think so! Over 70 people made their way to our third Freehouse event. The theme of the night; fantasy & medieval games. With a focus on Fantasy Flight Games excellent Westeros simulation; A Game of Thrones - The Board Game.

We also brought a myriad of favorites such as Smallworld, Settlers of Catan, Avalon, Splendor and many more. They all blended perfectly with the rustic interior of the tudor-styled Freehouse.

Speaking of the perfect blend; on the floor you could also meet Brandan from Blue Orange Games that had brought their two newest games; Dragon Run and Armadora.

Another local game designer was Albert Mach from Mach Brother Games; their game 'Vikings of Dragonia' is currently live on Kickstarter!

Want to try more locally designed games? Come to our Locally Grown Game Sundays and enjoy the wacky designs of locals while enjoying the beer garden of Downtown Berkeley's Eats, Beats & Brews festival.

Also; huge thanks to the Freehouse crew (below) for giving us such a great venue to play games at! You guys are the best!

Same thanks goes to volunteer Alex (we couldn't find a picture!) for helping with the rules clarifications and teaching the Game of Thrones!
