Hello and welcome to the Charming Cryptids Oracle!
This deck is a love letter to all creatures weird and strange. Cryptids in these cards range widely from popular creatures (such as bigfoot, mothman, and the Loch Ness monster) to fearsome critters (like jackalopes, teakettlers, and splintercats) to local lore (ever heard of the tizzie-whizie?).
Each card was researched and illustrated by yours truly! I've always been drawn to the style of tarot cards and there's nothing I love more than a good cryptid, so it only seemed right to combine the two into something fantastic!
While I love the traditional tarot card format, the unique structure of an oracle deck felt like a better fit for this project. In addition, I wanted to focus on using bright colors and a bit of humor to share my favorite cryptids and critters with the world. - Madeline Priebe
