Berkeley Victory Point Cafe

Board Game Cafe in Berkeley

The first board game cafe (finally!) in the San Francisco Bay Area: Pay $5 to access a collection of over 800 board games, stay as long as you'd like, and enjoy a selection of locally roasted coffee, craft beers, sandwiches and snacks. You'll also meet the Victory Point game guru's that will teach you any game from the collection.

A small, welcoming "dad-run store for kids and adults" with a passion for having people meet and game face to face. Very kid friendly and you can book the place for parties. They event have game rentals! Recently moved to its current location at 1405 Encincal Ave in Alameda. Closed Mondays.

Recurring gaming event in San Francisco

A massive gaming event with video and tabletop games, drinks, food, tournaments, and much more. Hosted by Showdown Entertainment, the game nights at the Folsom Street Foundry are second to none in size. Drop by on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Age limit is 21+ due to the available bar.

Games of Berkeley

Game store in Berkeley

Located right next to the Downtown Berkeley BART station, Games of Berkeley is easy to reach from anywhere in the Bay Area. The 35 year old store features the deepest selection of games on the West Coast including modern tabletop games, classics like Chess and Poker, darts, tabletop roleplaying games, miniature war games and both collectible and living card games. 

Come by every third Sunday of the month for Locally Grown Games Sundays - where Californian game designers pitch their games to the visitors of Berkeley's Eats, Beats and Brews festival. Or you can just try one of the store's 100+ free-to-play games while enjoying the sun and nearby beer garden.

Located between Parkside and Sunset District in San Francisco. This is your ultimate Magic the Gathering spot. You'll find a few board games here too if you drop by Monday-Thursday. For the weekend the store transforms and moves board games to the back room; which allows for a fifth table for the MTG players.
