On top of the 45+ years she spent in the game industry, the Evil Empress Emeritus (the boss' mom, Janet) has been a costumer since the late 1960s. She saw a need, and began making masks for family and friends from fabrics she'd collected over the past 5 decades. After that she decided to continue purchasing new fabrics in patterns that interested her, and sell them through the store as a fundraising effort.
These masks are hand-made, cotton or cotton-blend, and machine washable, with elastic bands for ears and extra room around the mouth so they don't press tightly or feel claustrophobic. They also have wire sewn into the upper seam so you can form them to the bridge of your nose.
$5 of the sale price for each mask will be donated to AT THE CROSSROADS (LINK), a not-for-profit organization that has provided direct service to homeless youth in San Francisco for 20 years and counting.
As of November 4, 2020, $465.00 has been donated directly to ATC.
